- ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆I had already learned that Scottrade was one of the worst brokerage houses around by the time I moved to Corpus Christi, TX. But THIS branch convinced me that it was time to move all five of my accounts somewhere else. The branch manager is rude and refused to help me close an account. I had to close the account by mail. Yes, that's right, lick a stamp and write a letter - mail. Unbelievable jerk! Never go to Scottrade. They will loose your paperwork. They will return things without reason - sure they will say, this check doesn't have a date, so sorry. Never mind the fact that it HAS a date! So sorry. I requested a check from them on a friday - they said they would mail it monday. WEDNESDAY they called to say, oh we're canceling your check request. Unbelievable bullshit. Find any broker you want - they will be better than Scottrade and especially better than the D-bags at this branch.By Dennis Gray, August 18, 2017
